With the Faculty of Literature serving as its foundation, the Graduate Program in Humanities and Intercultural Studies considers and researches todayfs international society from the perspectives of three specialized fields: (1) regional cultural studies, (2) comparative cultural studies, and (3) linguistic cultural studies. In fiscal 2000, the undergraduate Program in International Fashion and Culture Studies was added to the Department of Intercultural Studies, and the Department of Health Psychology was newly established. In fiscal 2004, the Faculty of Literature was reorganized into three departments: the Department of Intercultural Studies, the Department of International Fashion and Culture Studies, and the Department of Health Psychology, and its name was changed to the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences. At that time, we created two specializations in our Masterfs Program in Humanities and Intercultural Studies?namely, the Intercultural Studies Concentration and the Health Psychology Concentration?by adding health psychology and fashion-related curriculums.
