Students enter their chosen program from the first year.
Our Practical Programs Give Students a Thorough Understanding of Fashion.
Over the course of only two years, students learn everything from basic knowledge to specialized skills in all areas of fashion. At the time of their enrolment, students enter their selected program, but the curriculum is specially designed to ensure students can take specialized courses from both of the departmentfs programs if needed to fulfill their future goals. With the hands-on emphasis of our programs, students gain the practical skills and specialization needed to work in todayfs fashion industry while also learning traditional fashion science. Upon completion of the two-year program, students can choose to pursue one of the junior collegefs Extended Studies specializations, to transfer into Bunka Gakuen University as a third-year student, or alternatively, to enter the workforce.
Program in Creative Fashion
Over the course of the two-year program, students gain sophisticated techniques and creativity that highlight their individuality. The program emphasizes hands-on practical experience. First-year students create blouses, skirts, and pants while second-year students create lined suits and formalwear. Electives include specialized classes on sheer materials, hats, kimonos, apparel CAD, fashion coordination, and draping.
Program in Fashion Business
Students learn the knowledge and skills required to immediately excel in the fashion business. They gain comprehensive knowledge related to fashion and an understanding of diverse fashion industry trends, including the current state of the apparel industry, distribution systems, sales promotion techniques, and product management. Students are prepared for work in a wide range of fields in the fashion industry, able to serve as fashion advisors, stylists, and store managers.
